What is our “Document Research Service”?...
Our Document Research Service provides research that results in an image or transcriptions of documents requested by you that are held by NSW State Records.
We call it a research service because it goes beyond simply looking at records on the Internet. Many of the resources held by NSW State Records can only be searched at the Kingswood Repository. For example, only 50% of the Probate Packet references can be found online.
Our fee is for the search time plus photography if the record is available.
Alas, sometimes the records themselves are damaged and we can’t do any better than the original record.
See our Price List and Ordering Page for full details.
What we do for you...
You get greater scope in the searches we undertake – State Records
will only provide copies of records that have already been indexed online.
What's Available and is there and Index?...
The NSW State Archives and Supreme Court hold many other records. For example, Railway Employee records, Orphanage records and many others. If you don’t see exactly what you want here by all means contact us – we’ll probably know where to look!
